Your Responsibilities:

  • Conceiving, developing, and integrating passive and active network components in the 1&1 Versatel Access Network - including planning and implementing high-performance customer access networks.
  • Developing and further evolving the access network strategy for optimal coverage of all company requirements (e.g., P2P, P2MP, G-PON, XGS-PON, 50G-PON).
  • Designing and implementing technical standards and work instructions to ensure uniform, efficient, and high-quality implementation of the network infrastructure and all relevant components and systems.
  • Communicating and technically coordinating with manufacturers and technology partners - including coordinated fault analysis, discussing further developments, evaluating technical options, and commissioning necessary adjustments or expansions.
  • Developing, conducting, and documenting lab tests to verify network components, software versions, technologies, and complete solutions, and to ensure their internal release.

Your Profile:

  • Successfully completed studies (e.g., in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Business Informatics) or equivalent adequate training.
  • Experience in the technology sector within the telecommunications industry, e.g., with manufacturers of active and/or passive network technology or telecommunications companies.
  • Knowledge of FTTH network technology (GPON/ XGS-PON, FTTH, Ethernet) and protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3-BSA).
  • Independent working style, flexibility, and commitment.
  • Fluent German language skills (minimum level C1) and good English skills.
