We combine advanced blood biomarker analytics with personalized lifestyle recommendations to help people perform better, feel stronger, and live healthier - long before illness becomes an issue.

We work with individuals and companies who care about performance, longevity and real impact. Founded in 2024, backed by Danish impact investor KRING, and based in Berlin, aescolab is now scaling its commercial operations across Germany and preparing its European expansion.

As a Frontend Engineer, you will work closely with the founders and hand in hand with our CTO Bruno to shape how users experience our product day-to-day - translating complex health data into clear, intuitive, and usable interfaces.

YOUR ROLE

This is not a "ticket-based" engineering role. You will own the frontend experience of our core product.

As our first dedicated frontend hire, you won't just implement designs --- you'll help define user flows, make design decisions, and raise the quality bar for usability and polish across the platform.

You will:

• Build, maintain, and own the frontend of our core product using React and Next.js
• Translate product goals and complex biomarker data into clean, responsive, accessible UI
• Take ownership of layout, spacing, typography, and visual consistency
• Work closely with the CTO and founders to define architecture, UX decisions, and product direction
• Work from loose specs or wireframes and iterate quickly toward great solutions
• Integrate frontend components with APIs, authentication flows, and tracking
• Contribute to internal tools and lightweight admin dashboards
• Help ensure the product feels intuitive, reliable, and genuinely pleasant to use

YOUR PROFILE

We're looking for attitude, ownership, and craft - not buzzwords.

You:

• Have 3--5 years of professional experience building React-based web applications
• Are confident with modern frontend tech, including React, Next.js, TypeScript, and CSS
• Have hands-on experience with or strong interest in Tailwind CSS or similar styling approaches
• Are comfortable working with modern deployment and backend-adjacent tools such as Supabase and Vercel
• Have a strong sense for spacing, flow, and visual polish --- and notice when things feel off
• Are comfortable working independently and enjoy taking responsibility
• Like collaborating closely with founders and the CTO in an early-stage setup
• Prefer building one great product over shipping many average ones
• Are motivated by impact and clarity for end users

Communicate confidently in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Tailwind, Radix, shadcn/ui, or similar component libraries
• Familiarity with Figma or design collaboration workflows
• Exposure to analytics, user tracking, or auth-heavy applications
• Knowledge of accessibility or internationalization best practices
• Previous experience in early-stage startups or cross-functional teams
