Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Interim Manager (m/f/d) for IT Platforms & Transformation for our client.
In this role, you will take on the technical leadership and control of the platform and backend infrastructure and drive the transformation from classic system landscapes to modern, DevOps-oriented platforms.
Your Responsibilities
- Control and further development of the IT platform and backend infrastructure in close coordination with the technical architecture
- Analysis of existing systems, identification of showstoppers, and derivation of transformation strategies
- Development of a scalable, automated, and modern target architecture (DevOps-oriented)
- Technical leadership and coaching of the platform teams
- Sparring partner for architects and engineering leads
- Establishment of DevOps principles, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Responsibility for the stability and performance of the platform and backend systems (without end-device or end-user support)
Your Profile
- More than 10 years of relevant professional experience in the IT infrastructure environment
- Experience in technical or disciplinary leadership of technical teams
- Deep understanding of classic IT system landscapes (e.g., Oracle, Java Application Server, Remedy)
- Practical experience in transformation to modern platforms
- Sound knowledge of Proxmox, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Terraform), container ecosystems, and Helm charts
- Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., Zabbix), IPAM systems, and CI/CD pipelines
- Analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and proactive transformation capability
