Opto Semiconductors (OS) offers high-performance opto-semiconductor components and comprehensive support for modern system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit has almost five decades of production and development expertise.

Your Responsibilities

• Local Business Application Owner for Run-To-Run, Defect Management, and Yield Management Systems: Understand business requirements, identify gaps, and act as the primary point of contact for the business.
• Translate manufacturing and process engineering requirements into functional system configurations and business rules.
• Understand business requirements, develop and configure necessary system adjustments, conduct tests, and document results.
• Close collaboration with the global team and external software vendors, contributing own ideas.
• Proactive identification and suggestion of system improvements (e.g., AI). Provide consulting services for both new features and existing solutions.
• Handle production emergencies: Act as the primary point of contact for the business and coordinate the solution with IT teams.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed university studies in computer science or a comparable field.
• Initial professional experience, ideally in the semiconductor industry and process control, is necessary.
• Experience with Linux and Cloud/Databases (Oracle, SQL) is desirable.
• Knowledge in AI/ML and scripting (e.g., Python) is advantageous.
• Teamwork skills with regard to users and colleagues in Germany and Malaysia.
• Independent way of working, analytical thinking, and hands-on mentality.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
