Job Description

Your Responsibilities

• Engineering support for the existing district road network with a focus on civil engineering structures (preparation, tendering, awarding, project management, construction management, and supervision, including billing for expansion and maintenance measures)
• Technical preparation, support, and supervision of externally commissioned planning contracts for construction and maintenance measures
• Acting as the client for complex renovation and new construction projects (awarding contracts to object and specialist planners, project coordination)
• Creation of complex renovation concepts and development of annual construction and investment programs (specifications, etc.)
• Continuous evaluation of traffic data, structural inspections, site inspections, etc.
• Issuance of special permits for heavy goods transport and expert opinions
• Preparation of meeting documents and occasional participation in district meetings

Your Profile

• Successfully completed university studies (e.g., Diplom, Bachelor) in Civil Engineering
• Several years of professional experience in construction with planning or dimensioning of roads/bridges
• Knowledge of procurement law (VOB, UVGO, SHVG) and architectural/engineering law (HOAI)
• German language proficiency at least C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

The following are advantageous for the application or in the area of:

• Several years of professional experience in road and civil engineering
• Knowledge of ZTV Asphalt-StB and StrWG, DIN 1076
• Communication and decision-making skills as well as commitment
• Team spirit
