For our Omnichannel business unit in the Omnichannel, Portal, and API Enabler Tribe, we are looking for you as a Software Engineer Backend Online-Banking (m/f/d) at our Karlsruhe or Munich location.
Responsibilities
- You will oversee the complete software lifecycle of banking applications and be responsible for the new development and further enhancement of backend applications.
- You will develop technical concepts and implement them in close collaboration with Product Owners and System Architects.
- Using state-of-the-art programming languages, future-oriented database technologies, and common frameworks, you will develop modular, clean code and optimize it through refactoring.
- You will participate in regular code reviews and exchange ideas with your colleagues in the development team.
- You will conduct regular code reviews, share your knowledge within the team, and take responsibility for unit tests, bug fixing, maintenance, and last-level support.
Requirements
- You hold a completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience, OR a completed apprenticeship in IT and many years of relevant professional experience.
- You possess sound knowledge in software design, container technologies, and backend development with Java EE. Additionally, you have practical experience in batch processing and ideally with JMS, IBM MQ, and DB2.
- You have prior experience working with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
- You work independently, are quality-oriented, consistently motivated to develop further, and impress with your problem-solving skills.
- You have strong analytical thinking skills and enjoy understanding and optimizing complex processes.
