Summary

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize AI-driven art production processes to support live game operations. While boosting efficiency, ensuring the visual quality and unique feel of our games are always maintained.
  • Inspiring and mentor the team by sharing knowledge and offering training.
  • Stay up-to-date with AI and game development advancements to keep SOFTGAMES at the forefront of innovation.
  • Further develop & maintain clear documentation and support material on tool use, best practices, and workflows.
  • Continually analyze and improve upon existing art and animation workflows. Identify bottlenecks, suggest improvements, and implement optimized pipelines to reduce iteration time.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth, efficient art and development workflows.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry.
  • Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of different artistic styles.
  • Is familiar with generative AI tools (Primarily tools like Layer AI, Scenario, ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, FLUX, Midjorney, comfyUI etc.).
  • Has proven experience on training AI-models on in-house assets to increase output of assets in our style.
  • Deep understanding of technical art processes in a gaming environment. Is able to create tooling to help our art team (spine tools, Unity tools, Photoshop tools etc).
  • Deep understanding of 2D asset optimisation.
  • Knowledge of HTML5 for web-based content or game assets.
  • Experience working with game engines (Unity, Unreal), pipelines, and asset management systems.
  • Ability to document workflows and provide clear technical guidance to teams.
  • Experience working in casual games or mobile game development.
  • Strong fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in resolving technical art challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt to new technologies, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
