About the Role

The Bavarian Youth Ring (BJR) is a unique entity in Germany, serving as the professional body for youth work in Bavaria. It acts as an umbrella organization for youth associations and is responsible for developing, advising on, and supporting youth work initiatives that reach two-thirds of all children and young people in Bavaria.

Your Responsibilities

• Construction Conception and Cost Review: Technically review funding applications and proof of use for various youth work facilities, assessing economic viability and sustainability.
• Needs Assessment: Evaluate needs based on available data.
• Committee Submissions: Prepare relevant committee documents for the planning and distribution committee and ensure their execution.
• Early Measure Start Approval: Review and decide on applications for the approval of early measure starts for processed preliminary applications.
• Approval Notices: Issue corresponding approval notices.
• Payment Readiness Review: Examine fund calls for payment readiness.
• Consultation: Advise construction companies, architects, and both private and public organizations involved in youth work facilities as potential applicants.

Your Profile

• Education: Certified Civil Engineer (Diplom-Bauingenieur m/w/d) (FH) or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Several years of professional experience.
• Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in sustainability, ecology, and barrier-free construction.
• Administrative Experience: Preferably experience in the administrative processing of publicly funded construction projects.
• Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with public funding law.
• Interest: An interest in the working methods and approaches of youth work.
