Public Affairs Manager -- Cloud & Digital Policy

Industry: Cloud Infrastructure, Digital Policy, Telecommunications Location: Berlin, Germany (2--3 travel days/month within Germany/Brussels)

This role is strategically positioned to lead engagement with political stakeholders at the federal, state, and EU levels---driving awareness and influence in areas such as cloud regulation, AI policy, and sovereign infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the company on digital and cloud policy issues (AI Act, DSA, DMA, GDPR, Data Act)
• Build and manage relationships with political stakeholders at Bundestag, ministry, and EU levels
• Shape messaging around sovereign cloud and European digital infrastructure
• Monitor legislative developments and brief internal teams
• Coordinate with internal legal, tech, and communications departments

Impact Scope

• Advance the visibility of sovereign European cloud solutions in regulatory conversations
• Strengthen relationships with high-level decision-makers in German and EU institutions
• Play a central role in the company's political positioning on emerging AI and data regulation
• Support internal alignment on policy, compliance, and public affairs strategy

Ideal Profile

• 8--15 years in public affairs, political communications, or government relations
• Strong experience engaging with Bundestag, ministries, or EU institutions
• Affinity for digital policy, cloud infrastructure, and AI governance
• Native-level German and business fluent English
• Comfortable in high-visibility, politically sensitive environments
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, messaging, and internal coordination
