About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer with expertise in Python, Vue.js, and AI integration to join our team at our Bielefeld location. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our complex system landscape, which manages extensive master data from the furniture trade. Your primary focus will be on developing and optimizing data pipelines, system integrations, and automation processes, including the targeted application of artificial intelligence to improve data quality, automate workflows, and support development activities. This position does not involve data science per se but emphasizes traditional software development, system integration, and data pipeline architecture, with a strategic focus on gradually incorporating AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and data management.
Qualifications
Must-have qualifications
- Several years of professional software development experience, typically more than five years
- Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, especially Vue.js
- Proven track record in designing and operating REST APIs
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Implementing system integrations in distributed environments
- Solid understanding of clean software architecture and maintainable code
- Familiarity with AI tools and an interest in systematically integrating AI into development and data processes
- Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience with PIM systems or data-driven system landscapes
- Docker

Responsibilities
- Ongoing development and maintenance of existing backend and frontend systems built with Python and Vue.js
- Design and implement integrations between our central PIM system, internal tools, third-party systems, and retail partner interfaces
- Build and optimize data pipelines for master data management
- Automate manual and error-prone processes to improve data consistency and reliability
- Oversee the integration and utilization of AI components to support data enrichment, quality assurance, and the automation of validation and transformation workflows
- Evaluate and incorporate purchased AI tools, as well as contribute to the continuous development of proprietary solutions
- Collaborate with business units and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals and technical standards
- Actively explore and implement AI-driven approaches to enhance development workflows and data processes, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement
