Technical Administrative Assistant as a Specialist Planner (m/f/d) - Ordnance Disposal in the State Ordnance Disposal Service

(Pay Group EG 12 EGO TV-L)

The advertised position is permanent.

The employment relationship is based on the Collective Agreement for Public Service of the Länder (TV-L). The position falls within Pay Group 12 of the Pay Scale Order to the TV-L.

The Ordnance Disposal Service Westfalen-Lippe (KBD WL) of the Bezirksregierung Arnsberg is responsible for ordnance disposal in the administrative districts of Arnsberg, Detmold, and Münster.

The employees of the KBD WL dispose of ammunition from both World Wars. They identify objects suspected of being ordnance, defuse aerial bombs, and detonate ordnance at the site of discovery.

One of the most important tasks is preventive ordnance disposal before construction measures begin. Suspected areas are examined for ordnance using old aerial photographs and geophysical measurement methods, and any found ordnance is cleared. The employees of the KBD WL carry out these tasks themselves or coordinate and control the deployment of specialist companies.

Your Tasks

  • Supervision and monitoring of ordnance disposal: You will supervise and monitor ordnance disposal measures, such as conversion areas or water clearance operations, and conduct on-site inspections of clearance sites.
  • Processing of tenders, applications, and orders: You will participate in processing applications, issuing orders, as well as in tenders, procurement procedures, and bid evaluation.
  • Invoice verification and additional cost accounting: You will verify invoices and determine and calculate additional costs according to the applicable regulations for cost-bearing in ordnance disposal.
  • Technical and legal specialist review: You will review A+S plans and create risk assessments taking into account technical and legal requirements.
  • Specialist and technical further development and training: You will participate in the specialist and technical further development and training of procedures and processes in ordnance disposal and incorporate findings from congresses and conferences into daily work.
  • Cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior NRW: You will work closely with the responsible specialist department of the Ministry of the Interior of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Your Professional Profile

Applicants must possess at least the following qualification:

  • Completed postgraduate academic additional qualification as a specialist planner for ordnance disposal from the Bundeswehr University in Munich.

The following would also be desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of administrative law, occupational safety and environmental law,
  • Basic commercial knowledge,
  • Completed basic course for technical supervisory personnel in ordnance disposal,
  • Expertise DGUV-R 101-004,
  • Confident use of the most important MS Office applications (especially Word / Excel),
  • Willingness to acquire additional qualifications.

Your Personal Profile

The position involves business trips. A Class B driver's license or transportation by a work assistant within the meaning of SGB IX is required.

Furthermore, the tasks involve interesting work in ordnance disposal within a multidisciplinary team. It requires an open and cooperative attitude and a willingness to work in a team.

  • You meet the health requirements according to occupational medical examinations G 25 and G26, Group 3 (the examination will be organized by the Bezirksregierung in case of hiring).
