Senior Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotation for security incidents, manage EDR/SIEM detection rules, and conduct threat/APT monitoring, hunting, and simulation to detect and mitigate malicious activity.
• Harden systems, optimise security tools and processes, and automate workflows to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Perform security scanning, phishing campaigns, risk assessments, and audits to maintain robust security posture.
• Educate employees on security best practices and raise awareness to strengthen organisational security culture.
• Expand knowledge through ongoing training, certifications, and staying up to date with emerging threats and security technologies.

Requirements

Must have:

• Experienced Cybersecurity Professional: 5 years of hands-on experience in incident response, threat hunting, SIEM analysis (Elastic, Splunk), digital forensics, and vulnerability management, thriving in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
• Automation & Security Engineering Mindset: Proactively build automated workflows using SOAR tools, scripting (Python preferred), and AI-driven solutions to streamline security operations and reduce manual effort.
• Technically Strong & Detail-Oriented: Understand system hardening, cloud and network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies, and configuration remediation, and can implement solutions to protect critical infrastructure.
• Compliance-Focused & Knowledgeable: Familiarity with ISO 27001, DORA, and other regulatory frameworks, and ability to ensure security measures align with auditing and compliance requirements.
• Self-Driven & Collaborative Problem-Solver: Passionate about cybersecurity, staying up-to-date on threats, responding decisively under pressure, documenting processes clearly, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
