Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role as an Application Scientist specializing in SC-XRD located in Karlsruhe, with partial work-from-home options available. The Application Scientist will be responsible for supporting customers and internal teams with expertise in single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SC-XRD). Daily tasks include conducting research and experiments, providing product demonstrations, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to product development. Additional responsibilities include preparing reports, analyzing data, and delivering training sessions to customers in research and industrial settings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Laboratory Skills, with hands-on proficiency in experimental techniques and equipment handling
- Strong foundation and practical knowledge in Research and Development (R&D), Research, and Materials Science
- Proficiency in Data Analysis, including the ability to interpret and apply analytical results effectively
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and present technical information clearly
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a scientific or engineering discipline is preferred, along with prior experience in SC-XRD or related fields
- Ability to adapt to hybrid work environments and willingness to travel as needed
- Experience working with analytical instrumentation and supporting customer applications is an advantage
