Senior Consultant Digital Defense Land Operations (m/f/d)
Starting immediately, full-time, at one of our BWI locations nationwide.
The Center of Excellence Consulting at BWI acts as a trusted and established partner to the Bundeswehr. As part of the IT System House of the Bundeswehr, we work for and with our military clients on the development of our armed forces. As thought leaders, we shape the digital nervous system of the armed forces, develop IT strategies, and support digitalization projects.
In the "Land & Special Operations" consulting field, we support and shape digitalization projects in the area of land operations and in the environment of the Bundeswehr's special forces, thereby contributing to the information superiority of our armed forces. In our consulting projects, we participate in integrated teams in the digitalization of land-based operations (D-LBO) and the Land Command Network (FüVbuLa). Furthermore, we support special forces in realizing their key digitalization projects and successfully implementing future technologies.
Your Responsibilities:
- Leading consulting projects and sub-projects for the digitalization of the land dimension and the special forces of the Bundeswehr.
- Supporting digitalization projects as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for digitalization topics of special forces.
- Contributing your experience, skills, knowledge, and ideas to the professional and content-related further development of the "Land & Special Operations" consulting field.
- Conceptual consulting and support for requirements analysis, IT service development, further development of concepts and strategy papers for the projects under your responsibility, operational architectures, process analyses, experiments, and studies.
- Assisting in participation in committees and associations, establishing and maintaining contacts with relevant stakeholders.
- Leading and coordinating deployed teams, taking responsibility for the implementation of new strategies, structures, and processes.
Your Profile:
- Completed relevant university degree in (Business) Informatics, (Business) Engineering, Organizational Sciences, Business Administration, or Economics, or proof of equivalent qualification.
- At least four years of relevant professional experience with a focus on complex digitalization projects with a security authority background – preferably Bundeswehr.
- Expertise in digitalization topics (e.g., command and information systems, IT architecture, InfoSichh, etc.).
- Experience in team leadership; experience as an IT officer is an advantage.
- Knowledge and application competence in relevant methods such as Design Thinking, agile methodologies, etc.
- Sense of responsibility, high degree of initiative, and results orientation.
- Customer orientation, creativity, and the ability to structure information and present it visually in an appropriate manner for the audience.
- High communication and social competence, constructive handling and resolution of conflicts.
- Fluent German and good English skills (spoken and written), willingness to travel (30%).
