The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of OEM-branded software as well as internally developed E2E by Ceragon software and hardware products. This role collaborates closely with development, product, and engineering teams to validate requirements, identify defects, and verify that software releases meet defined specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review product requirements, design specifications, and technical documentation to understand scope, functionality, and expected behavior.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on specifications and stakeholder input.
  • Identify functional, reliability, accuracy, performance, and standards-based testing parameters.
  • Conduct manual and exploratory testing on software applications, web interfaces, and related technical products.
  • Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes prior to release.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not negatively affected by changes.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects, including detailed steps to reproduce and supporting evidence.
  • Verify defect fixes and ensure resolutions meet acceptance criteria.
  • Communicate defects, risks, and quality concerns clearly to development and product teams.
  • Work closely with developers to understand root causes and recommend corrective actions or improvements.
  • Participate in design and review meetings to provide quality-focused input early in the development lifecycle.
  • Prepare QA reports, test summaries, and release readiness documentation as needed.
  • Recommend and support improvements to QA processes, test coverage, and testing efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of QA standards, best practices, and documentation.
  • Assist with test environment setup and maintenance, including basic hardware lab and IoT sensor configuration.

Your Profile

Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a related technical role.
  • Experience testing software applications in Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Experience with networking concepts and software installation is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of at least two of the following: Linux, Windows, scripting, MODBUS, SNMP, relational databases, computer networking, or Java programming.
  • Familiarity with defect-tracking and test-management tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity tools.
  • Understanding of SNMP management, Linux shell scripting, and/or Windows batch scripts preferred.

Personal Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, requirements, and specifications.
  • Ability to write clear and concise test documentation, defect reports, and QA summaries.
  • Ability to create test plans and test cases from written or verbal requirements.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (English as well).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
