Cloud Engineer (gn)

Requirements

Must have:

• Completed degree in Computer Science, a comparable qualification, or sound practical professional experience in the cloud environment
• Several years of experience with AWS, container platforms, and automation. Ideally, experience migrating applications to the cloud, especially .NET applications
• Structured, pragmatic approach to work with a strong team spirit, enjoyment of collaborative problem-solving (e.g., Pair Programming), collaboration with development teams, and experience working with Kanban processes
• Good German language skills for daily team collaboration and confident English language skills for technical coordination

Nice-to-have:

• Programming or scripting skills in C#, Python, or Golang
• Experience with deployment and CI/CD tools such as Octopus Deploy, ArgoCD, or GitLab CI

Responsibilities:

• Design, structure, and continuous development of AWS organizations, including account structures, policies, and guardrails -- following best practices
• Contribution to network architecture: from VPC design, subnets, and routing to connectivity and security concepts
• Planning and implementation of migrations of existing virtual machines to modern, container-based platforms (ECS / EKS)
• Modeling, automation, and operation of complex cloud infrastructures with Terraform and Terragrunt
• Design, development, and operation of CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments -- with a focus on ECS / EKS and GitOps approaches (e.g., ArgoCD)
