Welcome to the exciting world of software development! Have you finished your studies and are ready to get started? Would you like to work on future-oriented projects in a friendly team? Sounds good? Then we are looking for YOU as a motivated individual for our trainee program, where we will comprehensively prepare you for your perfect entry into the working world with a combination of "training on the job" and training courses.

When does it start? 01.05.2026

How long is the program? 6 months with subsequent permanent employment as a Junior Developer (Person*)

Where does the training take place? Cologne, Munich, and partially remote

Your Tasks

• Teamwork in an agile project environment together with your Faktor Zehn colleagues, either in customer projects or in our product development.
• Learning and developing modern software solutions based on our Faktor Zehn products with Java/Jakarta EE and Spring.
• Improving your code quality through test-driven software development and code reviews.
• Learning and developing web applications using Vaadin and linkki.

What You Bring

• Completed studies in (business) informatics, mathematics, or a comparable qualification.
• Initial professional experience through internships or working student positions in the IT sector is desirable.
• Good Java and strong IT skills.
• Passion for programming, analytical thinking, and a solution-oriented approach.
• Enthusiasm for new challenges and topics, as well as a high degree of independence.
• Enjoy teamwork and good communication skills.
• Fluent German and good to very good English skills (German at least C1 according to GER).
