Category Manager (m/w/d)

At dean&david, we are all about good food, strong brands, and sustainable growth. To further develop our product range, we are looking for a Category Manager (m/f/d) who combines strategic thinking with a passion for Food & Beverage.

Your Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of the category and assortment strategy aligned with the food and brand strategy
• Responsibility for the economic management of the categories, including budget, P&L, forecasts, and KPIs
• Management of the product lifecycle from innovation to discontinuation
• Evaluation of new products, promotions, and campaigns based on economic viability and brand fit
• Creation of business cases and responsibility for product launches
• Close collaboration with Brand Management, Product Development, QA, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance
• Analysis of market, competitor, and consumer trends, as well as performance tracking

Your Profile

• Completed degree (Business Administration, Marketing, Food Management, Ökotrophologie, or similar)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in category or product management, ideally in the Food/Retail sector
• Strong numerical and analytical understanding, as well as experience with business cases
• Structured, self-reliant way of working and strong team and communication skills
• Passion for food, brands, and customer experiences
• Fluent German and English skills
