About the Role

To strengthen our agile "WebZeit" team, we are looking for you as a Senior Frontend Developer (m/f/d) for the development, optimization, and maintenance of new frontend components for our website www.devk.de. Accessibility according to WCAG AA and BFSG is not an add-on for us, but an integral part of every solution.

This Makes Your Job Exciting:

• New components are created in Storybook using TypeScript, Handlebars, and Alpine.js, while existing elements are optimized for accessibility.
• Pixel-perfect implementation of designs from Figma is just as much a part of it as ensuring WCAG AA compliance and adherence to BFSG.
• You develop automated tests with Playwright, use GitLab CI/CD, and take on the coordination of releases within the team.
• You document requirements carefully, describe their implementation, and hand over the created templates to the responsible CMS developers.
• Independent work, enjoyment of cross-team networking, as well as curiosity and enthusiasm to expand your skills in the long term, characterize you.

What You Should Bring:

• Well-founded senior-level knowledge in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SCSS.
• Experience with Playwright and Git is required; knowledge of Storybook and Figma is desirable.
• High interest in accessible design according to WCAG AA and BFSG.
• Strong communication skills, self-organization, team player mentality, and willingness to learn.
• Creative problem-solving for technical challenges and a high standard of quality.
• German language skills at least at C1 level.
• Willingness to work at least 2 days per week at the DEVK headquarters in Cologne.
