For our Power Distribution Team in Germany, we are looking for a Sales Specification Engineer Power Distribution (m/f/d) UPS with the following responsibilities:

What we expect from you:

The goal of the position is to place Eaton products and solutions in tenders, thereby increasing Eaton's market presence and the probability of winning projects.

The role interfaces with many different internal functions with the ultimate goal of building application knowledge and designing systems that meet the complex and high-end requirements of our customers, thus contributing to market success.

  • Systematic development of relationships with new customers, especially with planners/engineering firms and their decision-makers, and consolidation of existing relationships.
  • Maximizing project knowledge in the initial phase and influencing planners/engineering firms in the early project phase with a focus on spec-in in project business.
  • Development of technical solutions/system configurations in the area of Uninterruptible Power Supply in close cooperation with the Planning & Engineering department and the field sales team.
  • Presentations and demonstrations of innovative solutions to planners and/or customers with a technical and solution-oriented focus.
  • Coordination and placement of known and processed specified projects together with the sales teams in the respective regions and partners.
  • Identification of all involved key stakeholders in projects as well as project-relevant deadlines, such as the publication of the tender and award deadlines.
  • Recognition and utilization of synergy potentials in projects and active involvement of the sales divisions for emergency lighting, low voltage, and medium voltage.

Qualifications:

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or training as an Electrical Engineering Technician, ideally in combination with completed training as a Power System Electrician.
  • Relevant, several years of professional experience in the specified area.

Competencies:

  • Solid technical knowledge of Uninterruptible Power Supply, including an understanding of industrial control systems and communication.
  • Active listening, asking questions, and understanding customer requirements.
  • Ability to explain complex technical content understandably to non-technical people.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • High initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to overcome challenges through creative thinking.
  • Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken.
