Due to the increasing number of data formats/data volume and the constantly changing communication in the energy industry, we are consolidating and professionalizing electronic data exchange (EDIFACT) at EWS. For this purpose, we are looking for an EDIFACT Communication Clerk within the Market Communication department in the new EDIFACT team.
EDIFACT Communication Clerk
full-time or part-time (minimum 80%) at the Schönau im Schwarzwald or Freiburg im Breisgau location.
- You ensure the smooth, legally compliant information exchange with our market partners, adhering to all market-specific processes as well as legal requirements and deadlines.
- You are responsible for monitoring and technically controlling the automated incoming EDIFACT messages, as well as for analyzing and resolving potential errors, and ensuring a consistent data status with market partners.
- You check incoming negative CONTRL and APERAK messages and clarify discrepancies with market partners or software providers.
- Sending and tracking reminders for outstanding CONTRL and acknowledgment messages are part of your tasks, as is processing incoming reminders from other market partners - including technical review and qualified feedback.
- You participate in the conclusion and contract management of framework agreements (e.g., supplier framework agreements, metering point contracts), maintain associated data sheets, and other relevant documentation.
- You maintain and update master data of market partners in the relevant systems and actively contribute to the further development and optimization of EDIFACT-relevant tools and applications.
Requirements
- You have completed a commercial apprenticeship (e.g., IT system merchant (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d), office management clerk (m/f/d)) or a comparable qualification.
- You have already gained initial experience in the energy industry (desirable).
- You are proficient in using MS Office and have good IT and system skills.
- You are a dedicated, motivated, and reliable personality and enjoy familiarizing yourself with new subject areas.
- You have a quick grasp and good concentration, which helps you understand even complex processes.
- Teamwork is enjoyable for you, and you convince with a high level of commitment and your structured way of working.

There is a two-stage application process. The first interview will take place jointly with the Head of Energy Data and Portfolio Management and the HR Officer. The interview will last approximately 1 hour and will be conducted via MS Teams. The second interview will take place on-site as a follow-up. This will involve in-depth technical exchange and personal acquaintance.
