Your Responsibilities
Join our #TeamZeroCarbon as a Global Lead Buyer Wind Europe (m/f/d).
Location: Berlin or Bremen Reference Number: 59279
As part of the Global Lead Buyer Wind team, you will manage the tender process for supply and service contracts for key components of our projects, with a focus on the German market.
Your tasks include:
- Implementing procurement strategies, framework agreements, and procurement processes for supply projects and long-term service contracts.
- Leading supplier qualification and managing strategic supplier relationships in the German and European wind markets.
- Preparing selection proposals in collaboration with Business Development and Project Development, ensuring approval according to our governance guidelines.
- Supporting the Operations department in managing long-term service contracts and maintaining strong relationships with wind turbine manufacturers.
- Confirming qualified wind turbine suppliers for inclusion in EPC tenders and contracts.
- Conducting EPC bid comparisons and supplier risk analyses to support preferred bidder selection.
- Leading Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for wind turbines, including coordinating specialist departments, negotiations, and aligning with RFQ timelines. Contributing to market analyses and supplier performance reports for the Category Manager.
Your Profile
- A degree in Economics, Engineering, or a comparable relevant field.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in procurement and/or project management, business development, sales, or contract management.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in onshore wind.
- Process-oriented approach with strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and prioritizing requirements.
- Proven strong negotiation skills and persuasive communication abilities, with the capacity to work in an international environment.
- Very good English and German language skills (C1 or higher).
- Willingness to undertake occasional business trips within Europe.
