Job Description: We are looking for a Junior UX/UI Designer (m/f/d) for our client fraenk in full-time (40 hours/week) at the Cologne location. The work model includes up to 30% presence at the Cologne site and 70% remote work. The position is to be filled for an initial period of 18 months through temporary employment.

As a Junior UX/UI Designer, you will design and conceptualize intuitive UX/UI solutions for our client's mobile app. You will accompany the entire design process, act as a creative sparring partner and idea generator, and take responsibility for maintaining and further developing the Design System.

Your Tasks

  • Further development and maintenance of the fraenk Design System
  • Design of user-oriented interface solutions for the app (iOS & Android)
  • Development of prototypes and interactive wireframes for idea validation
  • Analysis of usage data and user feedback for data-driven optimization
  • Ensuring accessibility according to WCAG 2.0
  • Conducting workshops and presentations

Your Profile

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in UX/UI design – show us your level with a compelling portfolio focusing on Design Systems
  • Confident and proficient in using Figma (Layout & Prototyping), Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office (especially PowerPoint), and Miro
  • Sound understanding of accessibility and inclusion according to WCAG 2.0
  • Understanding of technical implementations in iOS and Android is an advantage
  • Fluent German language skills (C1 level)
