Your Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for Swiss Companies: You will manage the entire accounting for both Swiss subsidiary companies, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Team: You will coordinate daily operations with two finance colleagues, align workloads and priorities, and ensure the consistent application of policies and processes. You will provide technical support for complex accounting and reporting issues while also working hands-on with operational tasks.
  • Reporting & Compliance: You will ensure timely and accurate monthly closing and statutory reporting according to Swiss GAAP FER, including VAT and other local regulations.
  • Audit & Taxes: You will lead statutory audits, work closely with auditors and tax advisors, and support annual tax filings.
  • Process Optimization: You will continuously optimize accounting processes, internal controls, and the integration and utilization of NetSuite.
  • Local Expertise: You will monitor regulatory, financial, and tax changes in Switzerland and advise internal stakeholders accordingly.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: You will work closely with Group Accounting & Tax, Legal, Finance teams, and local stakeholders to support informed financial decisions.

You

Education & Professional Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable field.
  • Have approximately 5 years of professional experience in accounting, with some prior leadership experience.
  • Ideally, have worked in international or multinational companies with headquarters or subsidiaries in Switzerland.
  • Are proficient with NetSuite or have experience implementing or integrating ERP systems.

Technical Skills

  • Possess sound accounting knowledge, particularly in Swiss GAAP FER and Swiss VAT.
  • Have proven experience in monthly closings, consolidation, audits, and statutory and internal reporting.
  • Speak German and English fluently; French language skills are an advantage.

Leadership & Personal Competencies

  • Have prior leadership experience.
  • Work analytically, extremely structured, and with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively across functions, cultures, and borders.
  • Are comfortable in complex, international environments and approach challenges flexibly, solution-oriented, and pragmatically.
