Site Reliability Engineer (m/w/d)

Requirements

Must have:

• Completed degree or training in IT with sound professional experience in the operation and automation of cloud infrastructures.
• In-depth knowledge of:
  • Linux/Unix Administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, Amazon Linux)
  • Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP or European providers)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Git)
  • Monitoring & Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Logstash)
  • Networks & IT Security (Firewalls, VPN, Routing, System Hardening)
  • Scripting and CI/CD (Shell, Python, GitLab CI/CD, Nexus, Maven)
• Experience with highly available system architecture and scaling of distributed systems.
• Experience in agile teams and with tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Team spirit, initiative, and a structured, responsible way of working.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of our systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Monitoring, logging, and observability of our infrastructure and applications using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack.
• Automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, GitOps).
• Management and optimization of Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Co-shaping and further development of a stable, secure, and agile platform infrastructure.
• Close collaboration with Development, Security, and Operations in the spirit of DevOps and SRE principles.
• Operation and support of our productive environments as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Continuous evaluation of new technologies, creation of technical concepts, and support in architectural decisions.
• Implementation of IT security standards and remediation of audit findings.
