UX/UI Frontend Developer (m/w/d) - fully remote in Germany

Your Contribution

• Implementation of UI designs in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integration of front-end components into our existing web application---high-performance, responsive, and maintainable.
• Close collaboration with UX/UI design to guarantee a pixel-perfect, consistent, and accessible user experience.
• Technical optimization of existing frontend components in terms of loading times, responsiveness, and maintainability.
• Connection of interfaces (APIs) and, if necessary, collaboration with the backend team.
• Optional (bonus): Participation in Ruby on Rails backend with appropriate experience or interest.

Your Profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in front-end development of digital products.
• Very good knowledge of HTML, CSS (SCSS) and JavaScript (preferably with framework experience, e.g., Vue.js, React, or Stimulus).
• You have a good technical understanding of design systems and UI components.
• Experience working with design teams and implementing Figma prototypes in clean code.
• Clean code is a matter of course for you -- you work in a structured, thoughtful manner and enjoy documenting your work.
• German language skills at least at C1 level or English at near native speaker level, both written and spoken.
• Bonus: Experience with Ruby on Rails or the willingness to familiarize yourself with our tech stack.

We are a tech start-up from Cologne that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to reduce food waste along the supply chain. Our AI analyzes historical sales data from a wide range of sectors - from bakeries to supermarkets and restaurants - and combines this with external influencing factors such as weather, public holidays and special location features. This results in precise, up-to-date forecasts for production and orders, which can be integrated fully automatically into existing systems. This not only makes planning more efficient, but also optimizes the use of goods - so that less food ends up in the garbage can.
