Your Role in Deep Learning for Dialogue Enhancement
The >>Audio and Media Technologies<< division is a world leader in audio, speech, and media processing, with a history of pioneering innovations like MP3 and AAC. We are seeking a Research Associate to contribute to cutting-edge deep learning technologies for enhancing audio quality in broadcasting and streaming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop deep learning-based technologies to enhance audio quality in broadcasting and streaming applications.
- Create methods for making audio content accessible and customizable for all users.
- Collaborate with broadcasters and streaming providers to implement deep neural networks in real-world environments.
- Research and implement innovative machine learning concepts for speech extraction and optimization from audio mixes.
- Improve dialogue intelligibility in media to enhance the quality of life for individuals with hearing or speech comprehension difficulties.
What You Bring:
- Completed academic degree (Master's, PhD, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Media Technologies, Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in machine learning and deep neural networks.
- Strong knowledge of digital audio signal processing, particularly in speech processing.
- Solid programming skills in Python and PyTorch; C/C experience is desirable.
- Fluent English for international collaboration.
- A strong record of scientific publications and/or relevant industry experience is advantageous.

The position is initially limited to 2 years with the possibility of extension. Full-time (39 hours/week) is preferred, but part-time applications will be considered.
