GreenTec Capital brings together GreenTec Capital Partners (GCP) and its non-profit arm, the GreenTec Capital Africa Foundation (GCAF). Together, we work at the intersection of entrepreneurship, investment, and development to strengthen resilient startup ecosystems across Africa and support founders in building impactful, sustainable businesses.
The internship is based in our Frankfurt office at Main Tower, offering a modern working environment with access to a canteen and shared facilities. As a small and highly collaborative team, we fully integrate interns into our day-to-day work. You will not be "on the sidelines" but become an important part of the team, contributing meaningfully to ongoing projects and discussions.
You will support our consulting activities and selected business areas in daily operations. The internship can be completed as a mandatory academic internship, a post-graduation internship, or alongside ongoing studies, and provides hands-on exposure to consulting projects, startups, and investment-related work within the African entrepreneurial ecosystem. You will work closely with senior management, gaining direct insight into how a consulting firm operates and how strategic and operational decisions are made in practice.
- Support consulting projects across multiple workstreams, including but not limited to organizing and facilitating pitch events, supporting social media and communication activities, and assisting with company sourcing and due diligence. Conduct financial analysis and modeling for startup companies undergoing due diligence.
- Perform market and sector research under the guidance of GCP associates (e.g. FinTech and ClimateTech).
- Conduct research regarding potential tenders from international organizations development agencies and donors.
- Support the preparation of proposals and applications for new consulting projects.
- Research on different start-up business models across the multiple sectors of the African startup ecosystem.
- Support senior management with selected administrative and coordination tasks.
Voraussetzungen
- Academic background: Application is intended for students pursuing Master/Bachelor degrees, preferably in business administration, finance or economics
- Very strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking capability. Advanced financial skills being an advantage.
- Fluent in German and English (business language level). Fluency in French or additional languages are an advantage.
- 1-2 years of experience in general business-related activities.
- Advanced skills in communication, project- and self-management.
- Operation oriented (hands-on) and timeline driven personality.
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) are a must.
- Detail-oriented applicants with strong Canva skills are encouraged to apply.
Working Conditions
- Location: Frankfurt am Main - Main Tower (with home office days available depending on the type of work)
- Duration: 6 months
- Preferably full-time
- Compensation: This is a paid internship
- European work permit for 6 months is mandatory
