We are partnering with a boutique strategy consultancy focused on delivering high‑quality business and marketing strategy work for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, often at critical inflection points such as late‑stage development, pre‑launch, and portfolio decision‑making.
As the firm continues to grow selectively, they are looking to appoint a Project & Business Development Manager to support the delivery of client projects and contribute to the ongoing development of the business.

The Role
The Project & Business Development Manager plays a central role in project delivery, working closely with senior consultants and clients to ensure projects are well‑structured, thoughtfully analysed, and delivered to a consistently high standard.
The role combines strategic analysis, project coordination, and workshop preparation, alongside lighter business development and internal development activities.
Depending on experience, the role can involve significant client‑facing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Consulting & Project Delivery
- Structuring and coordinating client projects, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Conducting market, competitor, and stakeholder research and synthesising large information sets into clear insights
- Supporting the development of strategic narratives, positioning options, and recommendations
- Preparing high‑quality presentations and workshop materials
- Supporting and, over time, contributing to the facilitation of cross‑functional strategy workshops
- Ensuring clear documentation of decisions, outputs, and follow‑up actions
Business Development Support
- Contributing to proposals, pitch decks, and client presentations
- Maintaining CRM records and supporting pipeline visibility
- Helping translate project experience into case material and capability collateral
Organisational Development
- Supporting the development and maintenance of templates, tools, and best‑practice approaches
- Contributing to internal process improvements and ways of working within a growing consultancy
The Profile
This role will suit individuals who combine analytical strength with sound judgment and empathy, and who are comfortable working in a lean, fast‑moving consulting environment.
Typical backgrounds may include consulting, strategy, pharma, biotech, or adjacent roles.
You are likely to bring:
- Experience working on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- A strong ability to structure ambiguity and prioritise what matters
- Confidence analysing and synthesising information into clear, well‑reasoned outputs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, accountable way of working, with comfort operating autonomously
Pharmaceutical or life‑sciences experience is a strong advantage, though not mandatory with the right consulting capability and learning agility.
Fluent German and English are essential, as German is the primary internal working language and is required for certain client interactions.
