At HolidayPirates, we're looking for an Android Developer (f/d/m) who's equal parts problem-solver, idea-sailor, and team-loving pirate. So if you're ready to code with curiosity, create with passion, and explore with purpose.
DUTIES ON DECK
- Take ownership of features and contribute proactively to product and process improvements
- Solve real user problems with a pragmatic and impact oriented approach, focusing on delivering business value rather than just completing tickets
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our native Android applications within a collaborative mobile team
- Apply agile methodologies to iteratively improve app features, performance, and the development processes
- Ensure high performance, stability, and responsiveness across various Android devices
- Maintain and refactor the existing codebase, following best practices for scalability and long-term quality
- Collaborate with designers, backend and frontend engineers and product managers
YOUR TREASURE OF EXPERIENCE
- 4 years of experience in Android development using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Studio, Dagger, Git and MVVM
- Good knowledge of SOLID principles and software architecture patterns
- Solid understanding of modern Android UI design patterns and best practices
- Experience working with GraphQL/REST APIs to integrate backend services efficiently
- Good understanding of memory management and performance optimization in Android
- Experience with the Gradle build system and dependency management
- Experience with the Google Play Store release and submission process
- Experience working with profiling and automated/integration testing tools
- Familiarity with Firebase services, including Cloud Messaging and push notifications
- Ability to translate business needs into clean, maintainable, and scalable technical solutions
- Very good communication skills in English

- Experience working with GraphQL
- Familiarity with Firebase tools such as FCM, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, etc.
- Familiarity with Braze (Customer engagement and campaign management platform)
- Understanding of responsive UI design and handling various screen sizes (phones, phablets, tablets)
