Job Description

You ensure that our infrastructure not only runs - but continuously improves. As an IT Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer (m/w/d), you will be responsible for our operational IT operations (24/7) while simultaneously driving modern platform initiatives. Whether Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, or observability - you are in your element when you keep systems stable and develop them further.

You will be part of a cross-functional team without silos and work closely with our central SRE team and DevOps colleagues in several development teams - with a common goal: first-class technological solutions with real business impact. We are not looking for a classic "System Admin" role, but for someone who excels in daily IT operations and lives the DevOps philosophy. You enjoy working interdisciplinarily, think beyond team boundaries, and want to build an infrastructure that is scalable, secure, and future-proof.

Your Responsibilities

• Operation & availability of our productive infrastructure (Kubernetes, network, storage)
• Automation of infrastructure processes with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or similar.
• Monitoring & Observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Cribl.io
• Troubleshooting & Incident Response in production-like environments
• Co-design of self-service platforms, GitOps, and developer enablement
• Continuous optimization of infrastructure, security, costs, and performance
• Close collaboration with SRE and DevOps colleagues across team boundaries
• Active participation in migrations, e.g., VMware
• Nutanix or Fortigate
• Palo Alto, IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code),

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in operational IT operations (network, server, virtualization)
• Sound knowledge in Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and Observability
• Experience working with multi-cloud/hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, OVH, gcore)
• Hands-on mentality and high quality standards
• Ideally, programming skills in Golang or Python
• Very good English skills are required. Good German skills are an advantage, but not a requirement.
