LER COE Regional Leader for Europe

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver core labor and employee relations services effectively and efficiently to across all Operating Companies in a matrixed environment.
  • Ensure the LER COE EU team meets operational, quality, and service level requirements within core LER COE Pillars, including investigations, individual and group separations and performance management.
  • Build and develop positive and partnering culture with employee representative bodies and play a key and influencing role in critical exchanges with group-level employee representative structures for Danaher to achieve business performance, employee engagement and legal compliance.
  • Serve as escalation point regarding Europe LER issues by leveraging deep technical knowledge to provide guidance and recommendations in sensitive and complex LER matters consistent with company policies and core values in support of desired workplace culture.
  • Analyze case data to improve LER service efficiencies, identify trends, solve problems, and develop scalable best practices to promote organizational effectiveness in LER service delivery through workflows, process-oriented solutions, and effectively championing consistent and sustained adoption of Standard Work and best practice tools by the EU LER COE, HR organization and other stakeholders through leadership-influence, training and other methods.
  • Lead a team of experienced, professional LER Specialists, ensuring high performance, talent development, and knowledge of a Danaher Business System (DBS) mentality.
  • Liaise with DHR L Legal Team resources as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or another related field.
  • 7+ years of labor and employee relations experience in Europe with substantial responsibility in leading a variety of complex LER issues to conclusion including Human Resources investigations; individual separations for performance, misconduct, or the like; performance management, including performance-improvement plans, and other disciplinary action; and reductions-in-force, restructuring based separations, and mass dismissals and restructuring; responsibility for managing employee representative relationship(s) at factory level and also at a group level.
  • 5+ years of management/people leader experience (with experience leading remote, multi-country teams).
  • Extensive knowledge of key labor and employment laws in the region and labor and employee relations landscape.
  • Proven track record for developing, improving, executing and scaling LER programs and solutions and for managing and measuring program effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

  • Law degree with in-house experience supporting LER/HR work.
  • Experience preparing and presenting LER training/educational materials to large HR audiences.
  • Experiences that demonstrate an ability to function independently and effectively in a complex, matrixed organization.

Physical Demands

  • Able to travel 20% - 30% with physical activity associated with business travel.
  • Include considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, monitor).
  • May occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
