Integration Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical assessment with customers, analysing equipment specifications, production processes, and data availability to define integration requirements.
- Coordinate and support the integration of new and legacy industrial equipment, including retrofit projects when required.
- Manage gateway deployment and required IT/OT connectivity to enable machine and system integration.
- Act as the main technical point of contact for machine makers, system suppliers, and third parties involved in integration projects.
- Provide hands-on support to troubleshoot connectivity, data extraction, and configuration issues in collaboration with customer teams.
- Document integration setups, procedures, and lessons learned to support repeatable and scalable deployments.
Requirements:
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g. IoT, network security) are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with industrial hardware and OT/IT systems for data acquisition, including integrating shop-floor equipment with digital solutions.
- Experience or awareness of information security aspects when it comes to data transfer and the importance of integrity when processing customer data.
- Good knowledge of communication protocols (e.g. OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT) and common industrial interfaces.
- Experience working with a variety of machines, sensors, and production systems, including legacy equipment and retrofit scenarios.
- Proven experience coordinating integrations across multiple stakeholders, such as customers, machine makers, and system suppliers.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly, explain technical topics clearly, and act as a reliable technical advisor for customers and partners.
