Your Role & Responsibilities

As an SAP BTP Cloud Integration Developer (m/f/d), you will be deployed company-wide from the headquarters. You will work closely within a small team on exciting SAP S/4 HANA new implementations, potentially in project management or support for existing clients. No prior SAP S/4 HANA knowledge is required, as comprehensive training will be provided through internal training, coaching, the SAP E-Learning Hub, certifications, and "Training on the Job." You will also work on SAP projects involving the integration of complex business processes within SAP systems in collaboration with business departments. This role can be performed from your home office and/or at the Essen location, with potential on-site client work. You will be part of the IT team, contributing to technical, functional, and SAP consulting, as well as implementing SAP BTP Cloud for SAP S/4 HANA or providing SAP support. While focusing on SAP BTP Cloud projects, you will also benefit from colleagues supporting other SAP core modules. Your work will encompass daily operations as well as project business, including S/4 HANA conversions and new implementations, with an alternative in the support organization.

Your Tasks

  • Integrate SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and non-SAP solutions using the Integration Suite.
  • Develop technical concepts and customer-specific solutions based on SAP CPI/SAP BTP and/or Connectivity Service.
  • Review requirements, design, and create new processes, components, and IT systems, technology stacks, and development environments.
  • Manage go-live, components, and architectural solutions.

Your Qualifications

  • Practical experience and enthusiasm for project work, training colleagues (both junior and senior), and understanding/resolving customer support needs and issues.
  • Ability to convey the added value and benefits of solutions.
  • Educational background in SAP, a university degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification/training.
  • Good knowledge of interface technologies (e.g., IDoc, REST, SOAP, OData, Web Services), data formats (XML, JSON), and data mapping (Groovy, Java, XSLT, Graphical Mapping).
  • Proficiency in middleware applications such as SAP CPI, SAP Process Orchestration (PI/PO), Mulesoft, Talend, or Apache Camel.
  • High degree of independence, organizational talent, resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • Team player with self-confidence and strong communication abilities.
  • Good command of German and English, both written and spoken.
