Land Acquisition Manager (Freelance) - Germany (Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Turingia, Brandeburg, Saxony, Bavaria) - Remote

For an international client, one of the fastest-growing IPPs in Europe and a developer of BESS & Agri-PV projects, we are looking for a Land Acquisition Manager. The company demonstrates strong global investment capacity and a significant expansion plan in Germany and abroad (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Poland, etc.).

Role and Responsibilities

The Land Acquisition Manager will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing suitable land for renewable energy development. Specifically, the role includes:

  • Identifying land acquisition opportunities for solar and wind projects
  • Negotiating option agreements, purchase contracts, and land lease/surface rights with landowners
  • Coordinating with internal development, permitting, and legal teams to ensure project feasibility
  • Managing relationships with local stakeholders, public authorities, and communities to support the permitting process
  • Monitoring land-use regulations and compliance requirements
  • Creating and maintaining an updated database of acquired land and ongoing negotiations

Requirements

  • Based in the following locations: Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Turingia, Brandeburg, Saxony, Bavaria
  • Previous experience as a Land Acquisition Manager or in similar roles within renewable energy, real estate, or infrastructure
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with landowners and other parties
  • Knowledge of land-use regulations and permitting processes for renewable energy projects
  • Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel within the region
  • Good level of English (preferred)
