Game Designer (f/m/d)
We're looking for an experienced Game Designer to join the team behind Idle Miner Tycoon, a hit mobile game with over 220 million downloads worldwide. In this role, you'll have a direct impact on the future of the game by designing engaging features, refining core systems, and helping deliver a fun, rewarding experience for our players.
You'll work closely with stakeholders and a cross-functional team to help shape the game's vision, player experience, and feature set. By combining player insights, data, and your F2P design expertise, you'll identify and create features that keep players engaged long term.

Responsibilities
- Design, pitch, and prototype features that align with the game's vision and player needs.
- Iterate and improve designs based on playtests, feedback, and data insights.
- Balance progression, rewards, and mechanics to foster long-term retention.
- Create and set up live ops events and offers to drive player engagement and monetization.
- Communicate design clearly through documentation, presentations, and cross-team collaboration.
- Work closely with art, engineering, and production for smooth implementation.
- Contribute to refining design practices and team workflows.
- Maintain a player-first mindset to ensure gameplay is cohesive, intuitive, and rewarding.
- Research, deconstruct, and analyze idle/f2p games to identify opportunities and inspire features.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of game design experience, with at least one shipped or live title.
- Strong knowledge of game design, systems, player psychology, and F2P/mobile best practices.
- Solid analytical skills, with experience interpreting player data and KPIs.
- Proficiency in Excel (or equivalent) for balancing and system modeling.
- Skilled in balancing gameplay and analyzing its player impact.
- Experience with live ops and iterating on a live product.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Creative problem solver with a proactive, iterative mindset.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with progression systems, game economies, or idle mechanics.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, telemetry, and collaborating with analytics teams.
- Experience in game deconstruction, competitor analysis, or market trend research.
- Experience with F2P mobile and live games.
- Familiarity with Unity.
- Strong awareness of industry trends and player expectations across game genres.
