QA Engineer (all genders)

As a QA Engineer, you are responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing tests for REST APIs as well as web and mobile applications, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and test automation. You continuously develop our QA processes, implement automated tests, and work closely with cross-functional teams and the Product Owner to ensure the highest quality standards. With your experience in both manual and automated testing, and your expertise in tools such as Selenium, Katalon, or TestRail, you play a key role in identifying and resolving issues early. You have strong analytical skills, enjoy working in a team, and communicate confidently in English; knowledge of German is a plus.

Your impact

• You are our testing specialist: you know how to test REST APIs, web and mobile applications with all state-of-the-art tools and can continuously improve and develop our current QA processes and tooling.
• You will take care of the implementation and evaluation of automated tests to replace as many manual testing workloads as possible, using the most modern and suitable tech stack for web and mobile.
• You will be part of the 'kollex product specialists' group, and you will be involved in the end-to-end feature delivery cycle from sketch to release.
• You will work in one of our cross-functional teams, taking ownership of the team's high-quality standards, establishing QA best practices, assuring all the features are delivered with the highest quality, work side by side with the product owner to manage the incidents and bug reports as well as support the engineers to provide the best solution.

Your skill set

• You have solid work experience in manual and automated testing of REST APIs, web and mobile apps, and thrive in agile environments. First experience in coaching team members on QA best practices and processes is a plus.
• You successfully implement your solid knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Katalon, TestRail, or similar technologies. Knowledge of Appium is a plus.
• You have an analytical mind and like digging into details, - finding, identifying and fixing potential flaws and bugs with your team, before our users can even notice.
• You are a real team-player, you enjoy working in a collaborative environment and support honest and efficient communication in the company.
• You can communicate freely in English, knowledge of German is a plus.

• Our mobile apps are based on React Native, our WebApps are based on React.js
• We use Typescript, tailwindcss
• Our backend services are based on PHP 8 with Symfony and Doctrine
• We host on AWS and use managed services from AWS almost exclusively (Kubernetes, AppSync, Lambdas)
• We use Datadog for monitoring and alerting
• For our CI/CD pipelines we use CodeFresh
• We are testing with Cypress, Behat, PHPUnit and jest
