Then shape the future of our supply chain with us! In this diverse role, you will take responsibility for global supplier management – from selection and development to quality assurance. You will coordinate international projects, optimize processes, and ensure that our high-quality structural and welded components are manufactured worldwide on time and to the highest quality standards.
Your Responsibilities
Supplier Management & Development
- Independent selection, qualification, and development of (new) suppliers – especially for structural and welded components
- Conducting supplier audits (worldwide) to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and process reliability
- Training and instructing supplier employees on-site regarding processes, requirements, and quality standards – including new procedures
Cost & Project Management
- Commercial and technical development of suppliers to optimize costs and processes
- Contract review and (new) negotiations focusing on competitiveness and international benchmarks
- Leading and coordinating cross-functional projects (internal & external)
Quality Management & Component Inspection
- Inspection of externally manufactured parts according to technical standards (e.g., visual, ultrasonic, or crack testing)
- Initiation and implementation of corrective actions for quality deviations
- Creation, evaluation, and tracking of quality statistics
Production Monitoring & Order Processing
- Ensuring on-time series and sample production
- Independent order management, including bottleneck control and flexibility
- Documentation and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
Repair Instructions & Monitoring
- Support and monitoring of repairs on-site or at the supplier's facility
- Development and implementation of practical repair instructions in collaboration with specialist departments
Professional & Personal Requirements
- Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor/Master) or a comparable qualification (alternatively: commercial/technical apprenticeship with relevant additional qualifications and many years of professional experience)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in technical and commercial supplier/project management
- Very good knowledge of contract law and negotiation skills
- Demonstrable welding knowledge (e.g., certified welding specialist or similar) and proficiency in reading technical drawings and quality assurance
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Analytical thinking, structured approach, and strong communication skills
