Position Opening
An opportunity has arisen in the Asset Management department at our Karlsruhe office for an Asset Manager (m/f/d) for Liquid Asset Classes, to commence as soon as possible.
Compensation
Up to Bes.Gr. A 14 LBesO / up to Entg.Gr. 14 TVöD, Reference: A 647.26. A corresponding classification into Bes.Gr. A 14 or Entg.Gr. 14 TVöD (Senior Asset Manager) is possible, provided the personal and collective bargaining requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Contentual and technical support for the Liquid Assets asset class (equities and bonds) as a primary focus.
- Contentual and technical support for the Danish Mortgage Bond asset class, including independent trade execution (prospectively).
- Undertaking representative and support activities for the KVBW's overall portfolio, particularly in Alternative Investments.
- Assisting department and management in strategically, tactically, and operationally managing the securities fund portfolio.
- Coordinating service providers (selection, support, and control) in collaboration with an external consultant.
- Managing internal and external coordination processes, with significant involvement of risk management.
- Preparing committee presentations for board meetings and internal reporting.
- Organizing and participating in committee meetings.
Qualifications We Seek
- A completed academic degree in Economics, Finance, or a comparable field, along with equivalent skills and experience. An specialization in Investment or Portfolio Management is optional.
- Professional experience in institutional asset management, treasury, risk management, or controlling at a financial service provider is advantageous but not required.
- Ideally, knowledge of insurance and/or banking regulatory requirements, as well as knowledge or experience in managing financial investments.
- Analytical and structured thinking, independent work ethic, high levels of motivation, initiative, and a sense of responsibility.
- Reliability, teamwork, flexibility, open communication, and resilience.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
