The Building Management Department is the largest department within the university administration. With its building-related tasks, it is of fundamental importance for the university's primary processes of research, teaching, studies, and further education. A total of around 180 buildings of all types, covering more than 500,000 m² of net floor area, are managed.
In Department 3 -- Building Management -- the following permanent position is to be filled as soon as possible: Head of the Budget Control, Controlling, Financial Accounting Section (Pay Grade A12 NBesO or Pay Group 12 TV-L; 100 %)
Your role at a glance
- Management of the section with leadership responsibility for a total of 6 employees
- Financial resource management within the department
- Responsibility for fundamental principles concerning section-specific topics and tasks
- Key performance indicator reports for the department
- Exercising the ordering authority for the department
- Control, review, and optimization of process flows within the section
Who are we looking for?
The prerequisite for employment is a successfully completed training course II or the degree of Diplom-Verwaltungswirtin (FH) or Diplom-Verwaltungsbetriebswirtin (FH) or a comparable bachelor's degree in public administration or a comparable course of study with a predominantly business administration focus.
For employment as a civil servant, the qualification for the 1st entry level of career group 2 in the General Administration Services is required.
In addition, the following qualifications are required:
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in a relevant field
- Outstanding social skills (especially teamwork, communication skills, ability to motivate, and ability to handle criticism)
- Proficiency in German, both written and spoken (comparable to at least language level C1)
- A keen sense of prioritization and the ability to flexibly adapt one's own workday to current requirements
- A strong affinity for numbers
- The ability to work in a goal-oriented, careful, and precise manner
- Service orientation and organizational talent
Desirable qualifications include:
- Several years of management experience
- Very good MS Office application skills, especially in Excel
