Responsibilities

As a Senior Expert, you will assume technical responsibility for complex projects in the context of future-proof energy systems - with a special focus on numerical optimization methods and data-based algorithms. Your field of work includes:

• Conception and development of innovative solutions for current energy industry issues in industrial companies (e.g., grid operators, energy suppliers)
• Management and coordination of demanding projects in the areas of smart grids, integration of renewable energies, European power grids, and energy management
• Data-driven analysis and modeling of power grids and energy systems
• Development and implementation of optimization methods, machine learning methods, and AI solutions
• Strategic consulting for our clients and presentation of project results
• Mentoring and technical support for junior colleagues

Qualifications

• Several years of relevant professional experience or a doctorate in the field of energy management, power grids, or optimization
• Completed studies in engineering, mathematics, computer science, physics, or a comparable field
• Sound knowledge in modeling and solving numerical optimization problems
• Very good programming skills in Python, Julia, or MATLAB
• Strong interest in the energy industry and innovative, data-driven solutions
• Ability to solve complex issues independently and in a structured manner
• Communication skills, customer orientation, and teamwork ability
• Very good German and English skills
