Role Description
We are seeking a meticulous and creative Event Manager for a part-time, hybrid role based in Berlin, Germany. This position involves both onsite and remote work flexibility. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, checking client emails and executing events such as fairs (4 or 5 Qweer Fests, 2 Naughty Fests and expanding with new events such as Qweer Fashion Week Event), Pride activities (Cologne, Stadtfest Berlin, CSD Berlin and Hamburg + festivals are also an option). The Event Manager will collaborate with clients to conceptualize event themes, work with performers, negotiate with vendors, employ a team, help with marketing and promotion efforts, come up with ways to improve / expand and ensure events run smoothly. Maintaining relationships with partners, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget will be key components of this role. This job is mostly seasonal but can be a stable monthly part time job with some months being more intense than others.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to plan and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in vendor coordination, budget management, and negotiation.
- Experience in supporting event marketing teams and creative strategies to promote the events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external clients or partners (basic English and German skills are needed).
- Flexibility to work both onsite in Berlin and remotely; familiarity with hybrid work environments is a plus.
- A passion for creating inclusive and engaging events that align with Lusty Ice's vibrant and innovative brand identity (priority to LGBTQI+ candidates).
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to address challenges in real-time during events.
- Prior experience in event management, marketing, or related fields is highly desirable; familiarity with working in the food and beverage or events industry is a bonus.
Requirements:
- One to Two Year of Events experience min.
- Can communicate in English (fluent) and German (minimum B1 level)
- Ability to travelling for Work
- Can work a couple Weekends a year for the events
- Eager to be a part of a LGBT supporting project
- Emotionally intelligent
