MISSION
The Germany & Austria Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving commercial development and increasing sales volumes across the German and Austrian markets, while actively managing and supporting the performance of the Maserati dealer network in the area.
The role's key objective is to achieve assigned targets --- including retail, wholesale, and orders --- by implementing strategic market actions, optimizing dealer performance, managing stock levels, and contributing to the overall market share growth within the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Collaborate closely with the dealer network to support the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, while regularly monitoring progress and sales funnel performance.
- Provide accurate wholesale and retail sales forecasts for dealers within the assigned territory.
- Define, present, and align annual sales targets with Maserati dealers, ensuring a shared commitment to performance goals.
- Identify and implement strategies with the dealer network to drive continuous sales performance improvement.
- Act as a key liaison between Maserati and dealers to resolve operational and business-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Work alongside Marketing teams to develop and execute impactful network marketing initiatives that support sales growth.
- Maintain and update internal sales reports (wholesale and retail) for internal stakeholders and deliver regular performance updates to Maserati HQ.
- Coordinate with external service providers and dealers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of key dealer KPIs and P&L statements.
- Monitor and manage both central and retail stock levels across the assigned area.
- Support the planning and execution of sales training initiatives and product launches.
- Monitor dealer compliance with sales training requirements.
- Manage the sales incentive budget allocated to each assigned dealer partner.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to analyze and report monthly sales support allocations and dealer eligibility.
- Support the overall development of dealer capabilities and professionalism to enhance long-term business performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Solid academic background in Finance, Economics, or related fields (minimum Bachelor's degree).
- Fluency in both German (native level) and English; proficiency in Italian is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive wholesale and retail sector, ideally within premium or luxury brands --- or in a comparable industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach with a strong sense of initiative.
- Proven ability to work independently, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, high-pressure, target-driven environment.
