Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world.
In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we are shaping the car generations of the future. By this, we mean innovative products with the highest quality and efficient development processes. We are already working today on vehicles that will secure Mercedes-Benz's technological leadership in the future.
To this end, our department is shaping a key aspect of electromobility for Mercedes-Benz: the charging and high-voltage system for our electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with the associated charging services (e.g., the Mercedes-Benz Eco-Coach). We are looking for and finding new solutions that contribute to shaping a sustainable future and inspire our customers.
Our contribution to the corporate strategy "Electric only" and "Ambition 2039" includes the complete development process of new charging services from the concept phase to implementation in series production. We deal with customer needs (UI/UX), required IT interfaces between app and vehicle, the vehicle architecture itself, and of course, holistic system integration into future model series.

These challenges include:
- Supporting the project manager in organizing, preparing for, and following up on tasks for a research project on bidirectional charging
- Analyzing and evaluating charging, usage, and energy data from pilots and field trials
- Preparing and accompanying development activities and systematically documenting requirements and feedback
- Participating in simulations and evaluations of use cases from a customer and energy system perspective
- Compiling results and status for presentations, decision-making rounds, and project documentation
The activity can begin in May 2026.
Qualifications
- Ongoing technical studies with a focus on electromobility, energy technology, industrial engineering, business informatics
- Analytical understanding and interest in data analysis, energy systems, and technical contexts
- Initial experience with data preparation, simulations, or technical tools
- Structured, independent way of working and basic technical understanding of customer and system topics.
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
