About Mirantis
Job Description
As a Consulting Architect at Mirantis, you will be a key player in our customer's journey, acting as a client advocate, trusted advisor, and technical leader. You will own the technical relationship during the sales lifecycle, focusing on delivering customer value and driving engagements to a 'Technical Win'.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Client Advocate
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client technical and business stakeholders.
- Understand client business objectives and translate them into technology outcomes.
- Participate in creating and maintaining long-term strategic account plans.
- Gather field intelligence and provide structured feedback to product, support, and services teams.
- Serve as a Trusted Advisor and Technical Leader
- Own the technical relationship during the sales lifecycle, with a focus on delivering customer value.
- Drive the qualified (sales) engagement to a 'Technical Win' through tailored solutions and credible positioning.
- Understand the relationship between the technical win and its role in the client's strategy and Mirantis' account plan.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, PS Delivery, Product, CTO Office) to align qualification, strategy, and execution.
- Learn and stay current with relevant technologies (Cloud Native, Kubernetes, AI/ML, etc.) and actively share knowledge.
- Ensure continuity and technical oversight between presales and post-sales.
- Be the Expert for Products and Services
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of Mirantis products and services.
- Design and develop solution demos, prototypes, reference architectures, and use cases.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration within Mirantis to ensure a unified customer experience.
- Collaborate with the Solution Strategy Office to build and operationalize solution designs.
- Be opportunistic and take on ownership for Account & Partner
- Identify accounts or partners where Mirantis could expand its business.
- Drive engagement, build relationships, and create a vision for business outcomes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role such as a consultant, architect, or sales engineer.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; a four-year college degree is preferred.
- Experience working with senior leadership, especially IT and engineering leadership (CIO, CTO).
- Hands-on proficiency with Linux, OpenStack, VMware, Kubernetes, and related infrastructure products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
- Ability to be productive in a globally-distributed team.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated thought leadership through client interaction and presentations.
- Relevant industry and regulatory awareness.
- Understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Practical understanding of distributed systems, software development practices, application architecture, and DevOps philosophies.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Open source software
- Cloud Infrastructure including OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices.
- Automation, DevOps, and CI/CD tooling.
- OSS systems for infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting.
