Application Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Role
As an Application Engineer (m/f/d), you will be the interface between technology and sales, combining technical expertise with a keen understanding of customer requirements. Your work extends beyond mere offer preparation – you will actively shape solutions, participate in projects, and individually apply existing in-house standards. In the aftersales sector, you will support modernizations, upgrades, and services to continuously improve plant performance, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and precise functionality.
What to Expect
- Creating offers
- Planning, reviewing, and processing tender documents and specifications
- Technical and commercial clarifications with customers and internal departments
- Developing technical concepts and refining them to offer maturity (e.g., switchgear, drive technology, control and automation systems)
- Creating and managing calculations and offer texts
- Close collaboration with our other locations
- Creating and managing supplier inquiries
- Controlling, monitoring, and adhering to technical, commercial, and timeline framework conditions
- Project involvement:
- Leading smaller projects
- Creating high-level technical plans for automation systems
- Providing consulting support for detailed planning
- Aftersales support focusing on modernizations, upgrades, and services to improve efficiency, reliability, and precise system function
Your Profile
- Successfully completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable field
- In-depth knowledge of automation systems (switchgear, drive technology, control and automation systems)
- Desirable experience in technical sales or offer preparation and/or electrical design
- Willingness to travel, driver's license class B
- Excellent German and good English language skills
