The Opportunity

We're seeking a hands-on Data Engineer with strong Python and Dagster experience to build robust data pipelines and support AI-driven product development. You'll be collaborating with product and AI teams to design scalable, high-performance infrastructure and support experimentation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Dagster (or similar orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect)
• Collaborate with AI and product teams to operationalize ML workflows
• Work with structured and unstructured data from various sources (APIs, databases, external providers)
• Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes
• Ensure pipeline reliability, observability, and maintainability
• Participate in technical architecture discussions and contribute to best practices
• Support deployment and monitoring in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP)

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Expert-level skills in Python and modern data engineering patterns
• Hands-on experience with Dagster (or similar orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect)
• Exposure to AI/ML workflows, especially around data readiness and feature pipelines
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and pipeline orchestration
• Experience working with agencies, consultancies, or boutique firms
• Familiarity with cloud-native tools and data platforms (AWS/GCP preferred)
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, client-facing environments

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with ML model deployment or MLOps tooling (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker)
• Exposure to analytics engineering or dbt
• Knowledge of API integrations and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with compliance and data governance best practices
