As a Test Engineer / Consultant, you will be part of our QA team and support our clients in demanding software projects -- both hands-on in testing and in consulting.

You combine structured testing with a confident demeanor in the client environment.

Your Tasks as Test Automation Engineer (w/m/d)

• Act as a Test Engineer / Consultant in external client projects
• Execution of automated and manual software tests at various test levels
• Creation, maintenance, and further development of test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
• Testing of interfaces and integrations in complex system landscapes
• Automated API tests (e.g., REST, GraphQL, HTTP)
• Analysis of error patterns in distributed systems
• Active communication of test results, risks, and recommendations to clients
• Close collaboration with development, test management, and stakeholders

Our Tech Stack

Depending on the project, we use the following technologies: Selenium, Tosca, Ranorex, Confluence, JIRA, Postman, Silk Central Manager, HPALL, Java, JUnit, REST, Jenkins, Docker, Maven, AWS, Microservices, Cucumber, Gherkin.

What You Bring With You

• At least 3 years of experience in software testing
• Experience with manual and automated tests
• Practice in test design & test concepts
• Experience with test management tools such as Xray, Zephyr, SAP Solution Manager or comparable
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as: Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework, Playwright or similar
• Good knowledge of API testing (REST/GraphQL)
• Basic understanding of distributed systems
• Knowledge in at least one programming language (e.g., Java or C#)
• Consulting mindset & strong communication skills
• Willingness for client projects and occasional travel
• Hybrid: open to office days in Hamburg (depending on availability)

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in the banking or finance sector
• Mentoring or technical support for other team members
• Initial contact with AI-supported workflows (e.g., n8n, Zapier)
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level
