Job Summary

The public sector faces significant challenges in administrative digitization: skills shortages, IT complexity, exponentially increasing data volumes, disruptive technologies, and rising risks demand intelligent solutions in IT security, process automation, and sustainability. To tackle these tasks, competent and experienced partners are needed who can offer innovative and secure solutions.

We are NetApp, a leading, US-listed provider of intelligent IT data management solutions with a strong presence in the public sector. We are seeking a Senior Client Executive for Internal Security to further expand our already strong customer base within security authorities and to specifically complement the existing team in the Internal Security sector.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Client Executive, you will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and developing strategic clients within the Internal Security authorities in Germany. This includes, in particular, police authorities as well as domestic intelligence and secret services at federal and state levels.

Clients will see you as a competent trusted advisor to help them meet their daily challenges in a security-critical environment with innovative approaches in the context of digitalization. Close collaboration with our internal specialist departments and sales partners will help you find the optimal solution for the specific requirements of security and investigative authorities. You will also represent our company at trade fairs, events, and in networks relevant to Internal Security.

Job Requirements

  • Completed degree in Business Administration or Public Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Extensive experience in advising on digitization challenges in public administration, ideally within the security-relevant authority environment.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in selling IT solutions to public administration, either on the client or provider side.
  • In-depth knowledge of the public sector at the federal level, including relevant developments, laws, guidelines, and funding programs, particularly in the context of Internal Security.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as negotiation skills and closing ability.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain networks, both internally and externally, especially an existing, robust network within security authorities (e.g., police, domestic intelligence, secret services) at federal and state levels.
  • High customer orientation, initiative, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for appointments with clients and your own team.
  • Confident operation within complex organizations and familiarity with the business model of US-listed companies.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
  • Possession of a security clearance (SÜ2 or SÜ3) is desirable; alternatively, an unrestricted willingness to undergo a corresponding security clearance is assumed.
