Your Responsibilities

Leading the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering department
Responsibility for the maintenance of handling equipment at the Neuss/Düsseldorf site
Planning and procurement of handling equipment
Development of repair and deployment concepts, transport logistics, coordination of involved companies, and responsibility for deadlines and costs
Project management, construction supervision, and acceptance of modernization measures and new acquisitions
Budget planning and control / Center and cost center tracking
Planning, demand forecasting, and invoice verification for necessary work in the responsible areas
Optimization of equipment within the scope of maintenance, including continuous development of applied maintenance concepts
Contract negotiations with contractors
Independent planning and control of subordinate employees and external companies
Development of technical guidelines (specifications/service descriptions for new investments – including EU-wide)
Timely informing of subordinate employees about matters necessary for the fulfillment of their tasks
Creation of corresponding written instructions for subordinate employees (both independently and in collaboration with the occupational safety specialist). Ensuring operational safety within the scope of relevant legal regulations, provisions, etc. Independent control of the subordinate commercial areas (e.g., compliance and documentation of occupational safety, etc.)

Your Profile

Your Qualifications:

Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. m/f/d), or equivalent qualification, B.Sc. (m/f/d) in a technical field, or Technician (m/f/d) in a technical field.

Your Knowledge:

Technology and handling of transshipment facilities, as well as their repair and maintenance, considering legal regulations and provisions.
Basic knowledge of contract law (BGB, VOL, VOB, HOAI).
IT skills: MS Office.

Your Experience:

Procurement, repair, and maintenance of transshipment facilities, as well as other equipment, facilities, and vehicles.
Deployment planning and execution of complex maintenance measures for mechanical engineering.
